The Submerged Combustion System is an asset of TSK’s Japan subsidiary, Tsukishima Kankyo Engineering Ltd. (TSKE). The system handles different varieties of liquid wastes through the means of incineration.
TSKE's Submerged Combustion System is one of the largest in the world. It specialises in the treatment of liquid wastes from production processes involving fine chemicals, agrochemicals, pulp, pharmaceuticals, and discharges from other industries.
Due to its technology it also eliminates secondary waste, while respecting the sensibilities of the public.
The far-reaching capabilities of the Sub-Com System allow the elimination of organic and inorganic compounds in liquid wastes from the following:
- Petrochemical production plants - acrylic acid, acrylic acid esters, propylene oxide and styrene monomer, acrylic nitrile, waste liquid from caprolactam plant.
- Agrochemical and pharmaceutical intermediates
- Pulp, dye, soda, photography and media industries
Furthermore, it has a hydrochloric acid recovery and concentration system, along with a fluorocarbon destruction application.
